Predicting the performance of retaining structure under seismic loads by PLAXIS software

چکیده
Abstract The dynamic response of the retaining structures is a complex issue, and major challenge in their design, especially under seismic loading conditions. So reliable efficient solution following computational approach, closer to reality, required obtain satisfactory results. Hence, this study came clarify effectiveness PLAXIS 3D program predicting performance, accuracy, reliability walls. A case placing compressed materials as backfill wall soil analyzed using software. results are compared with experimental 2D purpose predict performance walls loads. As result, research stated that displacement time was less than recorded depending on 2D. According comparison different analytical tools, researchers concluded adoption gives more accurate, reliable.
